Sirona is hosting a 4-hour seminar entitled 3D diagnosis and treatment planning - The New Standard of Care presented by US-based Dr Neal Patel in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland in September.
The seminar will look at cone beam imaging and its ability to increase the scope of diagnostic information available for all clinical situations; improve patient communication and increase case acceptance rates; and perform surgical and prosthetic implant planning in a single visit.
Dr Patel will also look at the technology behind cone beam CT, imaging principles, comparison to film and digital OPG, comparison to conventional CT and its capabilities, advantages and limitations.
The presentation will also illuminate the world of 3D imaging through cone beam computed tomography in its applications for paediatrics, ortho-dontics, endodontics, 3rd molar evaluation, evaluation of dentition, airway studies, sinus evaluations, TMJ analysis and periodontal evaluations.
At Ohio State University, Dr Patel served as the Implant Prosthodontic Fellow and was responsible for establishing many of the techniques and protocols for Digital Implantology and Prosthetics. Prior to opening his private practice, he worked to educate surgeons in the field of 3D Imaging, Computer Generated Guided Implant Surgery, and the art of stereo lithography in dental applications. He is currently on an international lecture circuit teaching advanced digitisation in dentistry, CBCT, its current and future applications and dental practice management.
Attendance at the seminar is free!
