3M ESPE scores twice in 2013 red dot design awards!

3M ESPE has received coveted 2013 red dot awards for product design for its Intra-oral Syringe and Astringent Retraction Paste.

The single-use syringes for the delivery of VPS and polyether impression materials are designed for precise application in the patient's mouth and combine positive features such as a high degree of innovation, functional and ergonomic design as well as ease of use. The 3M ESPE Astringent Retraction Paste comes in an ergonomic capsule that allows for effective mechanical retraction of the gingiva prior to impression taking or direct restorative procedures. The capsule is compatible with a common composite dispenser and enables easy application directly into the sulcus due to its very fine tip. The ergonomic form makes sure that even posterior teeth and approximal areas can be reached without difficulties. The red dot design award this year attracted 4,662 products for consideration from 1,865 companies across 54 countries. The selection criteria of the international expert jury included degree of innovation, functionality and the clarity of function, ergonomics, longevity, product periphery, self-explanatory quality and ecological compatibility of the products.
