ADA Congress exhibition attracts record numbers

Events

Attending the Australian Dental Congress in March at Darling Harbour, Sydney, is not only a great way to get up to speed with the latest scientific developments in dentistry, it's also a great place to shop.

The dental exhibition running from Saturday March 17 to Monday March 19 has attracted record numbers of exhibitors. According to organisers, the Australian Dental Industry Association, apart from the internationally focussed FDI 2003 exhibition four years ago, this will be the the largest dental exhibition Australia has ever seen.

Over 130 companies are participating and some 340 booth spaces have been sold. Around 3,500 visitors from all areas of the dental community are expected to attend drawn from both Congress attendees and casual visitors.

"We’ve had a tremendous response so far to the exhibition," said ADIA Executive Officer Duncan Campbell. "The bulk of our member companies are exhibiting as well as many other dental and ancillary organizations. It will be the largest domestically focussed show we have ever staged."

Mr Campbell said visiting the 3-day show is an ideal way to be rapidly educated on all the latest products and services available and meet the people promoting them first hand. In addition, it is often a chance to meet many of the technical and specialist representatives from dental companies in Australia and internationally and quiz them about their offerings."

Morning and Afternoon teas will be served each day in the exhibition hall and lunch for Congress delegates will be served in the hall on Saturday. Lunch for Prosthetists and Laboratory visitors will be in the hall on Sunday. As an incentive to attend the last day where many specials are expected to be offered, parking for exhibition visitors in the Exhibition Centre car park will be free (You must have your parking ticket endorsed in the Exhibition Hall.)

The Saturday is also St Patricks Day and exhibitors have been encouraged to dress theirs stands and/or staff in the appropriate colours.
