The theme for Ivoclar Vivadent's 7th International Symposium on Aesthetic Dentistry, Hot Topics in the Tropic 2015, is Aesthetics - Conventional meets digital dentistry. Scheduled for September 17-19, 2015 the comprehensive 3-day programme for dentists, technicians and the entire team will this year be staged on picturesque Hamilton Island.
Hot Topics in the Tropic 2015 will focus on Aesthetic and Digital Dentistry with qualified dental experts from around the world sharing their knowledge and expertise. With the trend moving rapidly towards digital dentistry, this year's Symposium encompasses workflows from digital smile design, through to digital impressions and CAD/CAM produced restorations. It also features the latest in CAD/CAM dentures.
The programme will also be balanced with lectures and workshops showing how the conventional way is here to stay.
The symbiotic relationship between dentist and technician will continue to be a focus, with emphasis on how approaching problems from a team-based perspective is fundamental in creating ideal solutions.
Presenters at the event include: Dr Michael M. Mandikos, Prosthodontist (Qld); Dr Jonathan L. Ferencz, Prosthodontist (USA); Dr Thomas J. McGarry DDS, Prosthodontist (USA); Mr Jürgen Seger CDT, Head of the International Center for Dental Education (ICDE technical, Ivoclar Vivadent, Liechtenstein); Mr Russell Young, ceramist and dental prosthetist (Melbourne); Mr Hilal Kuday CDT, dental technician (Turkey); and Dr Michael Dieter, dentist and Head of the Professional Services department for Ivoclar Vivadent (Liechtenstein).
