Amann Girrbach adds blocks to SHT zirconia Zolid FX Multilayer range

Amann Girrbach has now supplemented its portfolio of Zolid FX Multilayer blanks with zirconia blocks, which are available not only with an Amann Girrbach mandrel, but also with a universal mandrel. This allows the material to be efficiently processed with all Amann Girrbach dry milling machines as well as with third-party systems.

The polychrome, ultra-highly translucent zirconia with integrated shade and translucency gradients simulates enamel, dentine and cervical shades with soft smoothly flowing transitions without any disturbing colour breaks. Aesthetic restorations with a natural appearance can therefore be achieved completely without reworking.

Users can choose between the two block sizes C (crown) for single-tooth restorations and B (bridge) for bridges with a maximum of 3 pontics. This can considerably reduce costs for stocks, especially for shades that are relatively rare. Owing to an intelligent nesting concept, all 16 Vita shades can be covered with just 10 blocks, as with the Zolid FX ML blanks. The combination of the sophisticated holder concept of the Ceramill Motion 2 milling machine enables milling up to nine different shades simultaneously. This further optimises the flexibility and efficiency of fabrication in the laboratory.
