AMD LASERS to become a private company

Dentsply and AMD Lasers have announced their joint decision for AMD Lasers, a global leader in dental lasers and dental laser education, to become a private company. This change took effect in the USA on 1 August 2014. AMD Lasers and Dentsply will continue their relationship as trusted business partners and in Australia and New Zealand, Dentsply (Australia) Pty Ltd will be the exclusive distributor of AMD Lasers for the foreseeable future.

Dentsply and AMD would like to reassure the local market that it is business-as-usual and Dentsply will continue to offer dedicated sales and service including clinical education courses and support with laser license applications where required. The local service centre at the Dentsply Australia Head Office in Melbourne will continue to operate as usual, offering product calibrations, warranty covers and repairs.
