Anthos continues expansion

Italian dental equipment manufacturer, Anthos, has continued the expansion of its Australian service and support infrastructure through its local agent Victorian Dental Services with the appointment of two new customer service representatives.

Joining the Anthos Australia team are Ms Victoria Guin, who has a Law degree and experience in business management and marketing; and Mr Andrew Kelly, who previously managed the high tech division of Henry Schein Regional in Victoria. Mr Kelly has experience both in electronics and as an IT consultant.

"It's a very exciting time for us at present," said Mr Phil Pagliuso, managing director of Victorian Dental Services. "Anthos has come of age in Australia and we seem to have reached the point where the brand is self-perpetuating. The response we received during the recent dental show in Melbourne saw people no longer asking who Anthos were but rather what options were available, pricing, delivery times and other more detailed questions. It has taken a lot of hard work to reach this point and it is rewarding to have finally turned the corner."

Mr Pagliuso said that the Anthos brand has been built on a service and support infrastructure he deems second to none in this country and this alone is responsible for much of the product's success.

"We have marketed the product in a very low key way. We have advertised in Australasian Dental Practice consistently and demonstrated the various models at dental shows around the country. Both these methods of promotion have been successful. Equally so has been the word of mouth from our satisfied customers who are happy with the product and the level of support we deliver. If we couldn't support the units, we would have been dead in the water years ago."

Anthos manufacture premium quality dental units from cost-effective entry level models through to fully optioned, high tech models featuring intraoral cameras, LCD flat screen monitors and the like. The company also makes x-ray units and a digital x-ray system. Anthos has showrooms in Melbourne at Victorian Dental Services; in Sydney at R K Dental Equipment Services; in Adelaide at Eddie Shaw Equipment and in Perth at Denquip. Service and support is also in place for Queensland and a showroom and dealer is being sought.
