Bambach backing dentists with two new designs

Bambach, manufacturers of the innovative Australian-developed Saddle Seat, has released two new models to stay on top of the ever-evolving ergonomic requirements of dental practitioners around Australia.

The Bambach Saddle Seat is designed to promote optimal seated posture where a person automatically assumes the position that produces least stress for muscles, ligaments and joints, thus relieving stress and pain in the back because the pelvis is properly positioned and stabilized. Its position actually controls the curvature of the spine and this, in turn, is pivotal in how much stress and pain is induced on the spine when seated.

The Bambach Saddle Seat is comfortable and the wide range of adjustments help the individual find the most natural, comfortable sitting position. With the Bambach, the weight of the legs can be taken through the feet and the feet used to mobilise the whole body, allowing easy movement around your surgery. The Bambach ensures the pelvis is held securely in its natural position so that, when leaning forward to work on a patient, the lean is from the hips and not the waist, significantly reducing back pain in many dentists.

In 2006, Bambach's design team has introduced the Executive Saddle Seat and the Small Saddle Seat.

The Bambach Executive Saddle Seat has been specially researched and initially designed to cater for the male physique; this was later found to be beneficial to people of a larger and/or taller nature as well.

The Bambach Executive Saddle Seat has a tilt adjustment so that the seat can accommodate varying pelvic positions in order to achieve a comfortable natural spinal posture.

The Small Bambach Saddle Seat has been created with a smaller and narrower seat and is ideal for children and small adults who need to reduce abduction (having the legs closer together).

All Saddle Seats are available with or without a backrest.

The key features of the Executive and Small Saddle Seat include adjustable height; adjustable seat tilt; adjustable back rest; a wide choice of castors; can be modified for children and adults with special needs; 5 year warranty; Australian Physiotherapy Association endorsement; and tested and approved to Australian standards for strength and durability by AFRDI to level 6.

New colours and fabrics
The Bambach Saddle Seat now offers 101 different colours in many different fabrics in order to suit any surgery design.

The Bambach Saddle Seat is working with you to provide the latest in ergonomic seating to suit your changing face of dental surgery design.
