Biodental grows exports

Biodental Technologies, a TGA approved manufacturing facility for dental products located in Macksville, south of Coffs Harbour, has entered into a long term contract to supply Nulite F composite as a private label product for a major Italian dental distributor.

The Italian group were strongly attracted by Nulite F's low volumetric shrinkage (according to a recent CRA study Nulite F at 1.5% has the lowest shrinkage of any conventional and widely available composite of all the brands tested) and the fact that it still has the highest fracture toughness of any composite tested.

The contracted sales in Italy call for about 5 times the existing annual Australian sales of Nulite F through local distributors. Spokesperson for Biodental Technologies, Ian McIntosh, said that he was delighted that the outstanding qualities of Nulite F are now also being recognised internationally.

The Italian contract adds to a recent contract for the supply of relatively large quantities of etching gels and liquids to a Swedish company which will sell these products under their own name.

Biodental Technologies is also increasing its exports untder its own brand through the appointment of new distributors in South Africa, Iran and Bulgaria where their products are well accepted.

Biodental hopes that eventually more than 80% of its sales will be exported. The fact that the products are wholly made in Australia and officially certified by the Australian-made campaign also assists in growing export business.
