Cattani launches suction in a CUBE

Cattani has launched the revolutionary new, compact and super quiet Micro SMART Suction system housed in an acoustically insulated Cube.

"The innovative, new Cattani Micro SMART Cube is a semi wet suction system with inverter control for 1 to 2 surgeries," said Rhoda Maclean, National Sales Manager at Cattani Australia. "It is our most compact and powerful suction system for its size, energy efficient, quiet at only 52 dB(A) and offers flexible installation options thanks to new innovative technology."

With the new Micro SMART Cube, Cattani have released a product that is more environmentally friendly to manufacture as it reduces the amount of metal and petro-chemical plastics. The new suction motor has been re-engineered, is much smaller than its predecessor and offers a further reduction in raw metal materials required for production.

"The Micro SMART Cube is a versatile addition to our range that gives small clinics with restrictions in available space or sound tolerance a new solution for suction delivery," Ms Maclean said. "The clever acoustic housing is made from an expanded polypropylene foam that is mould resistant, fire retardant and recyclable. It includes a cooling system to allow maximum air flow around the unit and three easily removable panels making servicing and maintenance easy."

According to Ms Maclean, there is a continually active self-protection mode which allows the unit to adapt in adverse conditions, for example, if there is suddenly a large quantity of liquid from the surgery. In addition, the electronic inverter control system constantly optimises performance and efficiency by varying the speed and therefore the output of the suction unit. Power used is adjusted to suit the actual requirements of the clinic - no more, no less - resulting in energy and cost savings.

"The Micro SMART Cube also features amalgam retention (fitted standard), with the fully integrated Cattani Hydrocyclone System," Ms Maclean said. "This utilises the fluid pressure created by the suction system to achieve 98% amalgam retention in accordance with ISO 11143, all without the need for any moving parts!"
