Clear aligners and more in new turnkey ortho system

Australian Orthodontic Laboratories has launched its TRU-LINE Invisible Orthodontic System™ (IOS™), an integrated system of virtually undetectable custom-made orthodontic appliances designed to allow dentists to cater to patient demand for "invisible" adult orthodontics.

"For the past 5 years, we've been researching and developing a complete turnkey system that caters to the growing market of adult orthodontics," said Mr Terry Whitty, the developer of the system and managing director of Australian Orthodontic Laboratories.

"Discreet orthodontics is of key appeal to the adult market and this has seen the popularity of clear aligners in particular increase significantly. While the TRULINE IOS incorporates these, we also offer further options."

Mr Whitty said that while aligners are very effective, they are typically slow in achieving tooth movement and are not ideal for every situation.

"With TRU-LINE, we have developed alternative fixed and removable appliances that can also be prescribed, depending on the case, are virtually invisible and more cost-effective."

Available are a range of unique redesigned 'invisible' appliances based on tried and tested orthodontic principles so it is now possible to have quicker and more predictable results.
