CPD from DPL proves popular with dental team

Dental Protection Limited and its parent organization has spent over $9 million in 2011 alone to develop educational and risk management resources for its members that are proving particularly popular in Australia following the introduction of compulsory CPD. The material varies widely, from personally selected online audit material and publications, to small-group interactive workshops and large seminars.

The aim of all of DPL's educational material is to assist dental health professionals to optimise their risk management skills, which are in the best interests of both patients and the dental professionals themselves. Much of this material is available free of charge or is heavily subsidised for DPL Australia's members.

The most popular download from the educational platform this year has been the video stream version of the original Communication in Dentistry programme "Essentials of Communication Skills". Costing almost $200 to buy in its original CD format, the video stream of this version is free to members - so is the associated CPD.
