Dentsply Implants now offers a central, Sydney-based scanning service for multiple implant units and bridges.

This service provides improved efficiency and reliability, reduced treatment time and complications and at the same time it requires no additional investment on equipment or software from the lab or practice. The local scanning service is suitable for all major implant systems. During the process, the model is sent to the DENTSPLY Implants local Sydney address. There, it is scanned and the image and files are electronically lodged directly with the manufacturing site in Belgium. The model is then sent to Belgium for fitting. This direct lodging of the scans cuts the turnaround time by 3-4 days as all scan pre-work and abutment designs are prepared while the model is in transit to Europe. Indeed, the proposed designs for the Atlantis ISUS supra-structures are sent directly by Belgium to the customer for approval, while the model is in transit. The final fit of the abutment on the model is completed in Belgium before the whole model is returned to customer.
