King's College London Dental Institute is launching the UK's first postgraduate master's programme in advanced minimum intervention dentistry.
The Dental Institute provides a unique and comprehensive distance learning programme with the view to maximise the clinical and financial future of the practitioner's dental practice. Professor Dianne Rekow, Dean of the Dental Institute said "We're proud to offer the first MSc in this exciting field, which has been developed in response to the dental profession's push towards a minimum intervention, preventive approach to caring for patient's oral health." The programme will be delivered by a dedicated team with an international reputation in minimum intervention dentistry; it will cover the latest concepts in clinical detection, diagnosis of dental disease, risk assessment, care planning and minimum intervention, preventive management strategies (including remineralisation technologies), coupled with practice management of the practitioner's team, facilities and patient communication and marketing, thus ensuring long term business profitability as well as ethical patient care.
