The US test institute, "The Dental Advisor", conducted a comprehensive material comparison on the topic "Alginates and Alginate Substitutes". The final result: With a "clinical rating" of 98%, StatusBlue made by DMG received the highest rating (+++++) of all tested materials thus confirming the outstanding characteristics of this VPS silicone product (The Dental Advisor, Vol. 24, No. 2, p. 2-7).

According to the report, due to its high dimensional stability, impressions taken with StatusBlue neither shrink nor swell thus allowing for easy long-term storage (several weeks) and ensuring exact fit. The storage stability also makes multiple casts of the impression possible. Repeat or multiple impressions, e.g. due to a broken provisional, are therefore a thing of the past. StatusBlue is available in a ready-to-use 380 ml MixStar cartridge and in a 50 ml Automix safety cartridge (4:1) for an automatic mix and to obtain a homogeneous, dust-free and bubble-free material quality.
