High Tech Laser Australia Pty Ltd is currently conducting a new round of its accredited One-Day Lasers in Dentistry Training Courses to satisfy continuing strong demand.
A course has already been conducted in High Tech's recently refurbished offices in Brisbane, with further courses scheduled for Sydney on Saturday 27 March and in Melbourne on 3 April. Following significant interest from across the Tasman, High Tech is also holding a course in Auckland on Saturday 15 May.
Australia's pre-eminent laser dentistry expert, Professor Laurence Walsh from the University of Queensland, will present the courses.
According to High Tech's managing director, Matt Moncrieff, the course places dentists in a good position to assess the new technology.
"This course enables dentists to make educated decisions about whether they can benefit from introducing laser technology into their practice, and if so, what sort of laser is most suitable," Mr Moncrieff said.
"It's in-depth, no-hype approach makes it the definitive laser dentistry course."
The course includes:
- A Hands-on in-vitro session for all delegates;
- Treatment presentations including: cavity preparation, laser teeth whitening and soft-tissue surgery;
- A Q&A session with practising laser dentists; and
- Information on Photo-Activated Disinfection (PAD) and other clinical applications, laser physics and safety, laser-tissue interaction, and comparisons between laser dentistry and trad-itional methods.
The courses are in addition to High Tech's more informal Laser Demonstration Evenings which will be held in capital cities around Australia throughout the year.
