International role for A-dec Australia GM

A-dec has announced the appointment of Mr Craig Young as its Director of International Sales - Asia, Pacific Rim & Latin America.

Mr Young has spent almost 25 years in the dental industry having served as General Manager for A-dec Australia since 2006. He joined the company in 2004 as a Territory Manager for New Zealand, following 13 years in the dental equipment industry as joint owner of an A-dec authorized dealer in Western Australia. Mr Young was also WA Branch Secretary of the Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA) for three years and has led key tours with A-dec dealers and customers to A-dec's international headquarters and the A-dec Education Centre in Newberg, Oregon. He was also instrumental in overseeing the supply of A-dec equipment to some of Australia's leading teaching universities and in appointing additional A-dec Territory Managers as well as expanding A-dec's local dealer network to support A-dec customers Australia-wide. Prior to entering the dental industry, Mr Young completed a Bachelor of Business in Accounting and Law at Curtin University and worked seven years with IBM, in sales and management roles with the company's mainframe division. The A-dec General Manager's position has been filled by A-dec Sales Manager, Patrick Jones who formally takes up his new role on July 1.
