Ivoclar Vivadent has appointed Ashley Frischkorn as Executive Manager - Marketing. Mr Frischkorn will replace Dr Peter Lobo, who has elected to take on a part-time role in 2013 as part of his transition to retirement.
Mr Frischkorn has been with Ivoclar Vivadent since 1985 and brings to the position a wealth of dental experience. He has worked in various positions within the company including sales, product management and business development. In a career with Ivoclar Vivadent spanning some 27 years, his highlights include his involvement in ensuring the success in Australia of IPS Empress and the ongoing evolution of IPS e.max as the leading all-ceramic system.
Mr Frischkorn is excited about taking on the responsibility for marketing the wider range of products and services offered by Ivoclar Vivadent and considers himself very fortunate to have worked under the leadership and guidance of Dr Lobo for 19 years.
"During this time, Peter has allowed me to manage the marketing of the laboratory business in Australia," he explained. "I'm now looking forward to the challenge of overseeing the marketing of all areas of the business including clinical and equipment."
Phil Jolly, Ivoclar Vivadent Managing Director is delighted that Mr Frischkorn has agreed to take on the position.
"I'm pleased to welcome Ashley in this important role as member of the board of management with responsibility for the marketing operations of the company," he said.
Dr Lobo, who will retain his seat on the board while looking after legislative compliance obligations, was quick to
congratulate Mr Frischkorn on his appointment.
"I'm entirely confident that under Ashley's leadership, Ivoclar Vivadent will continue to enjoy its reputation for providing exceptional service," he said. "As a company, we remain absolutely committed to offering Australian dentists and dental technicians everything they need to run a successful and profitable business."
Dr Lobo joined Ivoclar Vivadent over 28 years ago and has been instrumental in the growth of the business in Australia from its Noble Park headquarters in Melbourne. He has held a seat on the board since 1991 and has been responsible for the company's marketing strategy and implementation for more than 17 years.
