Effective 1 January 2011, Biomedex assumed exclusive Australian distributorship for the popular German autoclave brand, Melag. The new arrangement also provides for Melag to continue to be supplied through leading dental dealers - Independent Dental, Gritter Dental, Ridley Dental, Borg Dental, Dentec and Flinders Dental.
"We've been supplying and servicing autoclaves for many years and Melag has proven to be a stand out," said Biomedex's Dental Manager, Neil Sanderson. "It is a high quality product with excellent reliability and is ideally suited to the dental practice environment.
"We are excited that this new distribution arrangement will enable us to build on what is already a very successful product. Autoclaves are a critical component in every dental practice, so if a dealer requires a new machine in a hurry, we now carry stock of the entire range to ensure they can supply as required.
"We've also been able to work with Melag to ensure our pricing is very competitive, thanks to the greater quantities we are now purchasing and the strong Australian dollar."
As part of the Device Technologies Group, Biomedex also maintains a national network of accredited service agents to ensure that the autoclaves are professionally serviced and any problems are quickly remedied. In NSW, customers now have the choice of using Device Technologies for their service and maintenance and an agent has recently been appointed to service the Canberra region.
"A big part of the Biomedex success story is our ability to maintain an extensive service network for our products. Autoclaves are complex, 'high-tech' devices, so ensuring we have qualified technicians who are skilled and experienced in servicing Melag products, provides customers with the peace of mind they require for this critical aspect of their practice."
NB: This article relates to general wholesale distribution of the Melag range. Separate to Biomedex, Sirona Dental Systems continues to offer select models in the Melag range as part of its extensive equipment range.
