New A-dec 500 launch a huge success

Dentists from NSW and the ACT have attended the launch of the new A-dec 500 in combination with CPD seminars and partner vendor displays in Sydney and Canberra.

Two special nights hosted by A-dec equipment dealer, Presidental, were held in the A-dec showroom in Mascot on October 31 and the QT Hotel in Canberra hosted on November 7 to showcase the new flagship A-dec 500.

The evenings also featured CPD sessions on Ergonomics for Dental Practitioners, presented by A-dec Territory Manager, Adam Rabone; and Clinical Governance/Infection Control, presented by Alison Coates from AC Consulting.

However, the highlight of the evenings was the launch to the dental profession of the new A-dec 500 dental unit. The new A-dec 500 has been described as "A legend redefined" - bringing new levels of functionality based on years of product development and feedback from dentists around the world who are familiar with the original A-dec 500 dental unit.

The new A-dec 500 has a completely redesigned patient chair, delivery system, upholstery, armrests and the option of the revolutionary W&H Primea Advanced Air turbine system.

The delivery systems bring new levels of flexibility and an intuitive control system including new intuitive touchpad and a touch-and-release air brake that ensures the delivery system remains locked in place without sagging or drifting.

The optional Primea Advanced Air system is considered a real game changer in the practice of dentistry, combining the power of an electric motor with the lightness and tactile feel of an air turbine.

According to A-dec, Advanced Air will greatly lessen the strain on both practitioners and patients because of the quietness and performance of the Primea turbine that maintains a constant speed, even under load, to provide never-before-heard-of levels of performance in a turbine instrument.

More than 30 dentists attended each of the two events and were suitably impressed with the long-awaited new A-dec chair and delivery system, with many orders placed for the premium A-dec 500 model and the optional W&H Primea Advanced Air turbine system during the events.

Various A-dec dental units in both continental and traditional styles, together with Acteon's award winning digital imaging solutions and W&H handpieces and sterilisation systems were also on display during the events.

Other Presidental partners attended the evenings to talk about dental practice design, property, IT for dental practices, practice management and financing.
