New industry training programme

Training

The Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA), the peak body representing the local dental supply and manufacturing industry, has graduated 38 students from its new Dental Industry training programme.

The course ran throughout the second half of 2003 and was designed to ensure existing members of the industry have a comprehensive knowledge of dentistry as well as acting as a kick start for people new to the market The modular course is based on the successful British Dental Trade Association (BDTA) training programme modified to include relevant local content. The course, which was conducted nationally, combines a self learning work book with a series of corresponding tutorials presented by industry experts. The course will again be conducted in 2004 and is open to all ADIA members.
