Ivoclar Vivadent New Zealand Managing Director, Mr Ken McInnes, has joined the board of Ivoclar Vivadent Australia and assumed the role of Managing Director Pacific, responsible for both countries.
Mr McInnes, originally from Scotland, headed up Heraeus Kulzer in Australia before joining Ivoclar Vivadent in July 2009. He assumed the role of Managing Director of Ivoclar Vivadent New Zealand on November 1, 2009. In the ensuing years, Mr McInnes successfully fortified the company's position in New Zealand and became an important member of the regional leadership team. The catalyst for the creation of the new joint role was the decision of long-term Ivoclar Vivadent Australia Managing Director, Mr Phil Jolly, to retire from his position as of the end of the year. Mr Jolly joined Ivoclar Vivadent Australia on August 1, 1994. During his career, which spans more than 20 years, he has held various leadership positions at Ivoclar Vivadent Australia and was promoted to Managing Director in August 2008. "Phil led Ivoclar Vivadent Australia through a very difficult period of restructuring in 2008/09 and successfully put the company back on a path of profitable growth," said Mr Christian Brutzer, Global Region Head Asia Pacific at Ivoclar Vivadent. "We are very grateful for his dedication and his loyalty to Ivoclar Vivadent. We are happy that Phil will remain connected to us as he will take up a new challenge in the Asia/Pacific region as well as in assisting Ken in the transition. We take this opportunity to express our most sincere thanks and appreciation to Phil and welcome Ken in his new and enlarged area of responsibility."
