Nobel Biocare has launched the NobelProcera Implant Bar Overdenture for Nobel Biocare, Straumann and AstraTech implants.
NobelProcera bars are individually designed using 3D prosthetic driven software, industrially milled from a solid biocompatible monobloc of titanium alloy and delivered highly polished and ready to use. Thanks to precision milling, the bars exhibit exceptional fit, ideal load transfer and long-term stable screw joints. In addition, a TorqTite clinical carbon-coated titanium screw is supplied, which provides a stable long-term screw connection and ideal preload conditions.
NobelProcera implant bars are subject to stringent quality controls, come with a five-year warranty and offer excellent versatility and are suitable for a wide variety of attachment types to meet the requirements of most clinical situations.
Milled from biocompatible titanium alloy, NobelProcera bars are four times lighter than a gold equivalent and provide maximum comfort for the patient. The high strength of the titanium restoration makes it highly resistant to cantilever fracture. Compared with conventional procedures, the milling process is characterized by an absence of soldering or welding seams, thereby ensuring consistent precision of fit, from 2 to 12 implants. Tissue contact surfaces are delivered highly polished to facilitate optimal oral hygiene.
NobelProcera products for non-Nobel Biocare platforms are like all NobelProcera products, milled in state-of-the-art industrial manufacturing plants. Nobel Biocare production facilities are ISO certified and subject to inspection by BSI and US FDA. Industrial fabrication ensures standard operating procedures and material control following highest quality requirements.
Nobel Biocare has now also extended a warranty to patient cases, where an implant-supported NobelProcera prosthetic solution on a non-Nobel Biocare platform has been used, and the implant manufacturer fails to honor its implant warranty with the argument that a NobelProcera restoration was used. The warranty covers the NobelProcera prosthetic solution, as well as the replacement of the lost implant with a state-of-the-art NobelReplace implant by Nobel Biocare. A key warranty condition is that the non-Nobel Biocare implant's safety and efficacy is supported by at least two years of clinical data for this specific implant based on reported data of a minimum of 10 patients published in a peer-review journal.
