Prime Practice team grows with client base

Prime Practice has appointed two more coach/trainers to their team, adding to an already extensive knowledge pool and, according to the company, to keep up with an everincreasing demand for their 30-month practice management programme.

"We're all excited about the further additions to the team here and I'm thrilled at how Prime Practice has grown and developed since I formed it back in 1997," said Prime Practice Director, Dr Phillip Palmer. "In the last five years, the company has not only become a leader in Australia, but overseas as well.

"I'm sure many Australian dentists don't realise the recognition Prime is getting - even from the United States, the original home of practice management. They are now engaging Prime to deliver communication skills to their dentists. Pushy American sales techniques are on the nose even over there! They just love our softer relationship-building and less aggressive approach."

Joining the team at Prime are Maya Carson and Amos Szeps. Ms Carson is an experienced coach and her forte is working with individuals and teams to develop and optimise skills, whilst challenging habitual patterns of thinking and behaving. She said she is thrilled about contributing her experience to a programme as worthwhile as Prime's.

Mr Szeps was most recently a trainer for Landmark, a worldwide leader in the training and development industry. He also has a formidable performing arts background, having been the managing director of a successful theatre company.

"I am impressed with the quality and calibre of Prime's programme and I can't wait to start contributing", he said.

Both have training in Psychology, with Ms Carson having a Graduate Certificate in Coaching Psychology and Mr Szeps an Honours Degree in Psychology. They will join the strong Psychology/Training/HR and Dentistry skill base that forms the consultancy team at Prime Practice.

The pair arrive hot on the heels of Ms Tamara Mendels, who joined the Prime team late in 2005. Ms Mendels is a registered psychologist who came from the Financial Services Industry in HR.

Prime Practice runs a comprehensive practice management programme which benefits dentists and their teams, as well as short courses in all aspects of dental practice management.

"One thing's for sure, the personalised service we offer our clients will never stop," Dr Palmer said. "It will, we intend, just keep on getting better. Dentists enrol in our programme to increase their income and decrease their work time, but stay in the programme because of the long-lasting and life changing personal skills that they get on the way."
