Curing? Whitening? Transilluminating? The new Radii Plus from SDI does it all. The amazing transformation takes place with a simple pull and click of the LED attachment.
It's unique, easy to upgrade design provides unlimited potential making it one of the best investments you will ever make.
As a curing light, the Radii Plus has an extremely high intensity of 1500mW/cm2 and a 6mm depth of cure is provided, enabling a more complete cure. The quiet, cordless Radii Plus' lithium-ion battery's long life allows for 1200 ten-second cures before needing to be recharged.
The Radii Plus' unique tip allows the user to twist it 360 degrees to whatever position is required. With the LED right at the end of the tip, all energy goes directly to where the user wants it to go.
Radii Plus is extremely easy to use. The one touch on/off button is easily activated with a finger. The user has a choice - ramp or no ramp. Using a combination of pulse technology and steady current, the Radii Plus can achieve a higher light output with out generating excess heat.
Radii Plus is a super efficient curing light that cures dental materials containing camphorquinone in the range of 468-470 nanometers wavelength.
Curing
The Radii Plus comes with a "Contra Angle" LED attachment. Optional attachments include a "Right Angle" LED attachment; the "Ortho" LED attachment that beeps every 10 seconds, but runs for 5 minutes straight as orthodontists need more curing time than normal. Autoclavable tacking tips (1mm and 2mm openings) are available for veneer procedures.
Bleaching
The "single tooth" and "full arch" bleaching LED attachments and bleaching stand are designed as an adjunct to in-office tooth whitening systems such as Pola Office+. Unlike many other bleaching lights on the market these LED attachments do not emit any harmful ultraviolet light and is suitable for use with most whitening products. The full arch bleaching LED attachment emits a safe temperature of around 37ºC, and the single tooth attachment will heat to around 45ºC.
Transillumination
The diagnostic LED attachment lights up those hard to see clinical problems that traditional examination procedures cannot. It emits a safe white light which passes through tooth structure and a healthy tooth has an index of light transmission greater than that of decay or calculus. Depending on your requirements, brightness of the light can be altered from high to low by holding down the on/off button. Should a finer beam of light be required to illuminate sites where access is difficult, an adapter tip is also available. The diagnostic tip can help you easily identify cracked tooth syndrome, the depth of a subgingival fracture, subgingival calculus, interproximal decay, caries where the radiographic image is questionable, caries removal within a new preparation, hidden root canal openings, non-vital teeth, leaking restorations, root tips in surgical extractions.
