See More. Do More: New CBCT imaging system from Carestream Dental

Practices that are looking to expand their treatment capabilities, do more in-office procedures and provide better services to patients, will find extended fields of views (FOV) and advanced software capabilities with the new CS 8200 3D Family, the latest set of powerful imaging systems from Carestream Dental.

The CS 8200 3D is a versatile multi-modality system that includes 2D panoramic imaging, CBCT imaging, 3D object scanning and optional cephalometric imaging with the added enhancements of larger FOVs and incredibly advanced algorithms that help doctors see more and do more for patients.

Six selectable FOVs, from 4 cm x 4 cm to 12 cm x 10 cm, cover both daily clinical applications and more advanced treatments. The EndoHD mode delivers extremely high-resolution scans (75 µm) to see even the finest details of root canal morphology. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the new extended volume sizes* - 12 cm x 5 cm and 12 cm x 10 cm - can capture full arch images, including third molars, in a single scan for performing complex implant cases, periodontics, oral surgery and orthodontics.

Once an image is captured, doctors will experience Carestream Dental's best-in-class image quality in addition to new advanced software algorithms that provide more confidence when making diagnoses.

One of Carestream Dental's latest innovations, Tomosharp technology, generates sharp panoramic images effortlessly, even when the patient is not perfectly aligned. Advanced Noise Reduction reduces image noise while preserving clinical details, which is especially valuable for high-resolution scans. Perhaps the most highly anticipated feature is the optional CS MAR feature. CS MAR reduces metal artifacts caused by implants and dental fillings and provides a unique tool to compare live images with and without CS MAR applied.

For even more diagnostic capabilities, practices can add the optional Scan Ceph module that delivers best-in-class cephalometric imaging and scanning times. Its imaging software includes an automatic tracing feature that can provide a fully traced ceph in as little as 10 seconds, leaving more time for case presentation and patient communication.
