SMS Neoss - The Next Generation: Palazzo Versace Hotel Gold Coast to again host stellar line up of presenters

Events

SMS Neoss - The Next Generation - the conference to be held at the beautiful Palazzo Versace Hotel on the Gold Coast in May is shaping up to be an outstanding event yet again.

Following the same format as their first SMS Neoss event in 2012 - which was heralded as possibly the “most successful event ever”, Neoss Australia has once again brought together a superb group of experienced international and local speakers.

This year, SMS Neoss -The Next Generation, will see 9 International speakers join 7 Australians to share broad spectrum knowledge of the latest techniques, trends, complications and solutions in implants!

The speakers include:

  • Lars Sennerby - Oral Surgeon (Sweden);
  • Nobert Hassfurther - OMFS (Germany);
  • Chris Salierno - GP (USA);
  • Kavit Shah - Prosthodontist (UK);
  • Scott Froum - Periodontist (USA);
  • Thomas Zumstein - Oral Surgeon (Swiss);
  • Tasha Mackie - Periodontist (NZ);
  • Andrew Mackie - Prosthodontist (NZ);
  • Angus Colquhoun - OMFS (Z);
  • Keith Doonan - GP (Qld);
  • Adrian Hoffman - Periodontist (Qld);
  • Peter Russell - Prosthodontist (Qld);
  • Tony Strangio - GP (WA);
  • Anthony Lynham - OMFS (Qld);
  • Michael Howard - GP (Qld) and
  • Lyndon Hays - Dental Technician (Qld).

Presentations will cover research, surfaces and their effects on soft tissue and bone heights, bone augmentation, membranes, emergence contours, hygiene and peri-implantitis, graftless techniques, prosthodontic complications and how to manage them, overdentures, CAD/CAM frameworks, teamwork, treatment planning and adapting to changes.

John Divitini, Managing Director of Neoss Australia, said “we have been bombarded with requests to hold another SMS Neoss. There are so many events happening across Australia and beyond that we were hesitant to hold another event until we could ‘align the stars’ once again to present outstanding speakers at an outstanding venue.

“In 2012 we created such a positive and happy environment that our delegates and sponsors alike felt that they ‘belonged’ so to recreate that is a challenge. However we know we have the right recipe for a successful conference - talent, venue and fun! So once again this year we have been able to secure a wealth of talent with our speakers and holding an event at Palazzo Versace is such a beautiful experience.

“Our Movie World Cocktail reception is also bigger than last time as we have added a few extra rides this year and of course, the environment at Movie World brings out the ‘kids’ in all of us. So I am very confident our delegates will enjoy their educational experience at SMS Neoss - The Next Generation.

“Once again, we have been supported by a number of dental companies who wish to participate in SMS. We are still in discussion with a few companies but to date we have confirmed NSK, VP Dental & Medical, Gold & Ceramics Dental Laboratory, Geistlich Biomaterials, Bank of Queensland and Dental Axess and we thank them for their support”.

In addition to the two day conference, delegates have the opportunity to register for 3 separate workshops being held on Sunday morning. These workshops are limited attendance and designed for a more-one-on one with the speakers.

This year Neoss Australia has also organised some exciting surprises, prizes and incentives for their delegates. May is a perfect time to visit the Gold Coast; the weather is generally sunny and the ocean is still warm enough for swimming.

There are many accommodation options close by and the Gold Coast is a paradise for families. With easy access direct into Gold Coast airport or via train from Brisbane airport to Robina, the Gold Coast is one of Australia’s premier locations for conferences.

Here are some of the comments from delegates who attended SMS Neoss in 2012:

Dr Andre Viljoen from Canberra said: “Congratulations on a fantastic conference! This was one of the best meetings that I’ve attended for years. The calibre of the speakers was outstanding and there was a great ‘feel’ to the meeting.”

“Thank you Neoss for your fantastic 2012 Conference,” said Dr Rob Saltmiras from Townsville. “Great venue, great speakers, great products, great offers... always a pleasure to deal with Neoss.”

“The recent SMS Neoss meeting at the Gold Coast provided a wealth of evidence-based information from vastly experienced operators and the new breed of lecturers alike,” said Dr Jeff Mount from Hobart. “The meeting showed once again that Neoss stands for ‘Science, Simplicity and Service’ - the keys to your Implant Success.”

“Many congratulations on the success of the recent conference that has set the benchmark for implant meetings in the future. It was a beautifully balanced scientific programme with extremely well-chosen eminent speakers and a very professional and relevant trade show,” said Dr Colin Priestland from Townsville. “The meeting was better than the vast majority of implant events I have attended internationally. Your staff were a great credit to Neoss, looking professional and representing the company superbly. I am proud to be associated with Neoss.”

“I found it an excellent conference - great venue, good range of surgical and restorative lectures and very practical application of topics covered. The presenters were both entertaining and expert,” said Dr Wojciech Bilski from Byron Bay. “Congratulations on a fantastic event!”

So if you are looking for some serious education delivered in a luxurious, friendly fun-filled environment, then this is the event for you. Take the family or escape on your own - either way register for SMS Neoss - The Next Generation as it sounds like it will tick all the boxes!
