William Green expands servicing commitment

William Green Pty Ltd, Australia's only manufacturer of dental units and agents for leading brands including Kodak x-ray systems (formerly Trophy), Tecno-Gaz autoclaves and Bien-Air handpieces, has expanded it's commitment to servicing the products it sells with new staff and expanded training and repair facilities.

"Service and support is a key issue in the buying decision," said Mr John Green, managing director of William Green Pty Ltd. "We've been perceived in the market as a high quality service provider and we are increasing our commitment and strengthening our position in this area.

"As a manufacturer, we have the ultimate responsibility for ensuring the products we sell are kept in optimal working condition at all times. It's core to us as a business and essential to maintaining our reputation in the market to have the facilities and personnel to repair what we sell.

"In addition, we also need to be able to train our distributors and third party technicians in how to ensure each individual type of product is correctly repaired, serviced and maintained. We are also increasingly training the staff of our customers in preventative maintenance."

William Green now employs a service team of five in New South Wales and has a network of contract technicians nationwide. The third generation of the family, Mr Green's sons, Ryan and Simon are also actively involved in this area of the business.

The company's new service facilities at their Rydalmere, Sydney head office includes a training area with all equipment they sell in operational condition.

"We are now running training programmes monthly on the William Green dental units as well as the Kodak imaging systems, autoclaves, compressors, suction systems, washer disinfectors and more," Mr Green said. "We are also expanding our service capabilities to other brands."

William Green, while not the exclusive sales agents for Bien Air, are the designated service and warranty support agent in Australia. Other brands of handpieces are also increasingly being repaired.

"We take our commitment to service very seriously and as spin off, our customers can be sure that the equipment we distribute, apart from having excelling backup support if someone does go wrong, has been chosen because of its proven reliability in the long term.

"Equipment is the lifeblood of dental practices and if it fails or is not operating at peak levels, then it can be at best inconvenient and at worst result in costly downtime. We want our customers to know when they buy one of our units, they are buying the commitment of the manufacturer to ensure continuing satisfaction."
