Ivoclar Vivadent's high-performance bluephase curing light has raked in four awards in its first year on the market. The independent test institutes were deeply impressed by the device's handling characteristics and its design.
The testers of Reality Now gave bluephase the highest possible rating of five stars for its excellent features and its wide range of applications. They praised the device's three curing modes and its small and light handpiece. In addition, bluephase was voted the New Product of the Year 2005 by the Reality panel.
CRA Newsletter reported that bluephase has the highest number of features that practitioners would like to see in a curing light. These include a timer, an integrated light meter and an ergonomic display. The fact that the light saves the last setting before it goes in the stand-by mode is highly appreciated by users.
The effective combination of attractive design, excellent function and outstanding handling characteristics helped bluephase garner the prestigious reddot design award.
Two new bluephase models, the C8 and C5, are mains-operated units are covered by a three-year warranty. They take after their "big sister" in their appearance and quality. The bluephase C8 is capable of a light out-put of 800 mW/cm2 and features three curing modes; C5, which has a light out-put of more than 500 mW/cm2.
