Wisbey wins Government tender

Wisbey Dental has won a Northern Territory Government tender to supply dental units to one of its Darwin-based dental clinics. The contract will see the delivery of a number of Gnatus Syncrus systems to the top end.

"We are obviously delighted to secure the tender," said Greg Wisbey, Managing Director of Wisbey Dental. "We've been supplying the Gnatus units for several years now and they've proven their reliability during that period. One of the first units we ever installed was in Papua New Guinea six years ago and it has worked tirelessly up there ever since. Hence we had no hesitation to submit the units to the NT tender.

"On top of outstanding reliability, the Gnatus Syncrus is a fully featured unit that can be supplied at a very attractive price. They are proving popular in private practice around Australia and we have sold them up and down the east coast."

Mr Wisbey said that the NT Government sent one of their senior service technicians responsible for the installation and maintenance of its dental equipment to personally inspect the units submitted for tender.

"The technician obviously believed that the Gnatus units would fulfil the requirements of the tender as well as meet the need for outstanding reliability," he said.

"One of the advantages of the Gnatus system is that we supply a full spare parts kit with each unit that includes printed circuit boards, a spare motor, drive shafts and gears. Any part that could potentially fail is supplied with the kit. We normally give the kit to the technician servicing the chair and in this case, the kits will be supplied to the NT Government's service department."

A network of service technicians trained in maintaining the Gnatus units is in place and the systems come with a two year warranty.

"We're a small family company established for 30 years and we're always cautious about the products we represent," Mr Wisbey said. "We've always believed the Gnatus range was the right product at the right price for the Australian market and this tender win vindicates this decision."
